The Take Heart anthology is a collection of poems selected by Wesley McNair while he was serving as Maine Poet Laureate. Before being gathered here, the poems ran in a weekly column in newspapers across Maine. The project was a collaboration between McNair and the Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance.

The poems are chosen from the work of poets all over Maine and represent a wide cultural view of the state.
